2018-04-26 Miradore 4.7.0 release notes

Follow

We’re happy to announce the release of the new version of our IT systems management solution, Miradore Management Suite 4.7.0.

Data analytics and dashboards for pre-emptive maintenance

This version improves Miradore's pre-emptive monitoring and reporting capabilities in three ways: it provides more data about the managed environment; it adds new functions to explore and summarize the data, and; it enables new ways to present and visualize the data.

One of the biggest changes is that Miradore not only collects live inventory data about the managed environment, but now it also stores historical information which helps to understand and predict trends. In addition, Miradore Management Suite now collects inventory data about the health of hard drives and laptop batteries from Windows, Linux and macOS devices, and the system stability index and windows event log entries from the managed Windows computers.

Another great new feature is the ability to use aggregate functions in Miradore dashboards and web service API to calculate count, average, minimum, maximum, sum or distinct count values for a group of configuration items which opens up many new opportunities for reporting.

Also, you can now define conditional coloring for chart elements, add more data series to widgets, create widgets in multiple new sizes and even create totally new kinds of widgets to better visualize the data. See the picture for examples, and for more details, see the Improvements table later in the release notes document.

Two-factor authentication for improved security
Two-factor authentication is an account-specific security feature which provides protection against unauthorized login attempts by adding a second factor of authentication to user login.

User account owners can activate two-factor authentication for their accounts in Miradore Management Suite. When two-factor authentication is enabled, Miradore Management Suite requires the users to authenticate themselves using their password and an authentication code during every login.

For more information and instructions, refer to Two-factor authentication for user accounts in the product guide.
