Shutting down a device remotely


This article describes how to remotely shutdown a device in Miradore Online. Currently only iOS and macOS devices are supported.


  • Enterprise Plan subscription or trial.
  • iOS devices are Supervised and running iOS 10.3 or newer.
  • macOS devices are running macOS 10.13 or newer.

When these requirements are met, the simplest way to shutdown a device is to open the device page. Start by navigating to Mobile management > Devices and choose the desired device. Click the open icon or double click the row to open device page. Start the Shutdown device action from the page action menu and follow the instructions. Press Shutdown to confirm.

Note! Passcode protected iOS devices will not join protected Wi-Fi networks until they are unlocked after shutdown.


The status of the action can be seen from the Mobile management > Action log page or from the device action log.
